Our Physiotherapist

CAT WOOD

Born and raised on PEI, I grew up playing multiple sports and needing a lot of physio!  Wanting to help others,  I attended Dalhousie University for my BScKIN and MScPT degrees where I played rugby for their club. Following graduation, I have worked in private orthopaedic clinics treating a wide variety of clients and conditions!

Helping clients get back to, or excel, at what they love is my passion.  I continue to participate in rugby, mountain biking, trail running, and Crossfit, so I understand the frustration of not being able to play or perform to your best. Helping you achieve your goals, whether rehabbing an injury or beating a PR, is where I thrive!

My treatment plans revolve around an individualized exercise program to address your goal.  I use needling, manual therapy, and soft tissue techniques to “put the fire out” or improve mobility when needed. Sleep, stress, nutrition, and mental health are also very important in healing and will be touched on throughout your course of treatment!

Additional training:

  • Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS)
  • Anatomical Neuropathic Intramuscular Stimulation 1 (AN-IMS 1)
  • Foundations of Anatomical Acupuncture (AA1)
  • Clinical Management of the Fitness Athlete (CMFA1)
  • CMFA: Pregnancy and Postpartum (in progress)
  • Cervical Spine: Manual Therapy Management
  • Vestibular Rehabilitation: Introduction to Assessment & Management
  • BPPV: Beyond the Basics
